DRDO invited applications from candidates possessing requisite qualifications for the award of Junior Research Fellowships against positions anticipated to fall vacant at this Laboratory, in the subject/disciplines as detailed below:-

1. Electronics & Communication Engineering

BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification. Or ME/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.

2. Applied Electronics/Opto Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Photonics

BE/B.Tech in Applied Electronics/Opto Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification or ME/M.Tech in Applied Electronics/Opto Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.

3. Computer Science & Engineering

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification.or M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.

4. Mechanical Engineering

BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification. or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engg in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.

5. Chemical Engg/ Rubber Technology/Polym er Technology/ Nanotechnology Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Polymer Science/Material Science BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engg/ Rubber Technology/ Polymer Technology/ Nanotechnology in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification.or ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engg/ Rubber Technology/

6. Polymer Technology/ Nanotechnology in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.

For Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Polymer Science/Material Science, Post graduate Degree in Basic Science pertaining to the subject/discipline in 1st Division with valid NET qualification

7. Oceanography/ Ocean Technology/Meteorology/ Physics/Applied Physics

Post graduate Degree in Basic Science pertaining to the subject/discipline in 1st Division with valid NET qualification. Or ME / M.Tech in Oceanography/ Ocean Technology/Meteorology in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level

Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per Government of India norms. 

How to apply: Candidates should download and fill the Application Form in the prescribed format (available on the website www.drdo.gov.in). The signed Application Form along with certificate in support of minimum educational qualification, matriculation certificate/birth certificate in support of date of birth, GATE/NET Score card (if applicable), valid as on closing date of application, & caste certificate (if applicable) should be scanned in a single PDF file and emailed to hrd@npol.drdo.in, before the closing date. Incomplete/partially filled applications are liable to be rejected. 

The Fellowships shall be awarded initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), with monthly emoluments of Rs. 31,000/- plus House Rent Allowance as admissible under the rules.
